Under the guidance of dedicated clergy, including the current leadership of Bishop Stephen Antony Pillai of the Thoothukudi Diocese, the church continues to thrive as a beacon of faith in the region.

Built by Jesuit missionaries from Punnaikayal, it was the first cross-shaped church in the region and has stood as a beacon of faith for over four centuries. Overcoming challenges from missionary bans to structural transformations, this sacred site has been a spiritual home for generations of believers. Our Church is popularly known as cruz kovil and is thronged with people form various places.Our annual feast falls on the 25th July every year.
